IRAQ - CONFLICT - HERITAGE - ARCHITECTUREA picture taken on March 12, 2016 shows visitors at Qasr al-Abbasi Palace in the al-Maiden neighbourhood of Baghdad during a ceremony marking one year after the destruction done by the Islamic State group (IS) at the archaeological site of Nimrud that lies on the Tigris River around 30 kilometres (18 miles) southeast of Mosul. Nimrud, on UNESCO's tentative world heritage list, was founded in the 13th century BC and was considered the jewel of the Assyrian era. According to the Iraqi government, IS militants bulldozed the site on March 5. SABAH ARAR / AFP
