SYRIA - KURD - KHAZNAWI
SYRIA - KURD - KHAZNAWIA Syrian kurd brandishes a picture of Sheikh Mohammed Maashuk Khaznawi, a 46-year-old Kurdish religious leader, who was found dead 20 days after he 'disappeared, during his burial 01 June 2005 in the northeastern Syrian city of Qameshli, 700 kilometres from the capital Damascus. Syria's official press named 02 June five men whom the authorities said were responsible for the murder of the outspoken Kurdish leader.
