HAITI - POLITICS - CORRUPTION - DEMONSTRATION - GOVERNMENT
Protesters march on the street to demand the resignation of the Haitian president in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on October 13, 2019. Thousands of people demonstrated in Port-au-Prince following calls by several popular Haitian singers and artists who in turn demand the immediate resignation of the president, challenged by academics, civil society and traditional opposition parties. The Haitian opposition on October 9 rejected President Jovenel Moise's appeal for dialogue, as the country's main cities remained paralyzed after more than a month of often violent protests.
